My Saudi Arabian Airlines Application

This blog post is about my experience applying as a Cabin Crew with Saudia.

Here I'll be sharing with you the process I've been through.

First, you need to apply to Industrial Personnel and Management Services, Inc. or IPAMS. This is the Saudia's Recruitment Agency in the Philippines. IPAMS is located in Quezon City, Metro Manila. Some prefer to go during Saudia's Open Day, but I submitted my resume on a regular day. If you want to go during the Open Day just check the IPAMS Facebook page or website from time to time.

I will try my best to recall my experiences during the application process so you can set your expectations already. This will help you remain calm since you already know what to expect.

 Initial Screening

 During this time we were 10 in a room and they asked us to introduce ourselves and pick one question in a bowl. I heard from some of the applicants who had their interviews with other interviewees were scrutinized very well. They said their skin and teeth were checked as well. In my case, it's just simply "pick one question" and those questions were just situational. I'm sorry I forgot what question I got that time but there are no right and wrong answer there. You just need to answer based on your opinion and experiences. 

Final Interview

 After a week, I received an email that I passed the Initial Interview and I am scheduled for the final interview. The question I got was something like "Give us a situation wherein you were under stressed and how did you handle it". 

Medical

 The next day I got the result and thank God, I passed! The next process then was to undergo medical and for our batch, we've been asked to complete it the next day. After a few days, I still haven't received any update from the clinic so what I did was I initiated to call them. To my surprise, they said I need to come back because I have "Pneumonitis". So I came back asap and the doctor gave me a prescription. But the nurse in me kicked in so I insisted to have my x-ray repeated once again before I take those medications and yes I'm right for making that decision because my x-ray is normal but with dextroscoliosis this time, which I'm aware of.

Final Briefing and Pre Departure Orientation

After a week, the employer's orientation took place followed by PDOS. Here they just oriented us about the policies and the culture in Saudi Arabia. They also gave us an idea of what to expect as Saudia's Cabin Crew. There is also a question and answer phase where you can ask anything to the employer. I remember one mother asking how much is the expected salary. Haha! Yes, during this phase you will be asked to bring with you your parent/s. I didn't bring mine and that's okay. 

Pregnancy Test and Contract Signing

After like a couple of days the contract signing and pregnancy test were scheduled and then we were advised about our travel date and time.
